The first quilt in the DigiQuiltTM series is inventive and unique in many ways. The view of a cherry blossom branch through a Japanese screen window... that’s the inspiration for the Sakura quilt. A clever, single block is the basis for the body of this quilt. The cherry blossom branches are painted, but stitching around the painting provides the appearance of applique. The DigiQuiltTM method ensures fully complementary quilting.
Sakura was designed and created by Amélie Scott’s 14-year-old designer, Katie.
